Why, I wonder? Is it because seeing someone happy shines light on one’s own shortcomings? If so, that’s such a waste. It’s not like happiness is limited in supply… there is always more to go around! It’s a state of mind that is always there with us, ready to be dipped into when we are present and accepting of what is. Seeing someone else happy should a source of encouragement, not envy.
hmmmm. been mulling this over. It makes me happy when I see people from my past on facebook who have a good life. It makes me sad when someone from my past is struggling and not where they want to be in life.
Also, it’s easy to make your life seem perfect online.
