Sharing my 5 Personal Rules

I recently gave a talk at the wonderful 99u conference here in NYC and am thrilled to see it just went live. This is probably my most polished talk to date. Makes me happy. Hope you enjoy.

  33. I’m so inspired! Thank you :)

  34. Well, confidence usually has substance, while enthusiasm mostly doesn’t, except the effect on the flock to do silly stuff (like supporting a bunch of do-this, do-that junk on Kickstarter).

One example to show this can be taken from this post. How many of the comments here express any sort of opinion, point of view or pose a question? None.
Would the problem lie in the shallow audience? The dumbed-down consumers, poisoned by this pseudo-creative hype that promotes hoarding of useless junk? Maybe the last generation of baby boomers who struck a miracle by having a child or two or three (with miraculous talent, of course)?

I think I should recommend you to read a book by a french philosopher, Pascal Bruckner: Perpetual Euphoria or even better, spend the year in a small community, away from the internets. Believe me, it will be an eye opener (always was).

  35. One cannot believe there can be 35 sheepish comments in a row.

  36. This is so good. Thanks for sharing!

  37. Tina, you are always such an inspiration to me and this talk was nothing short of that. THANK YOU! Your blog is one of the first places I come to read about new and exciting ideas in the world and to get inspired. Thank you…

  38. Tina,

I was there at 99U and was lucky to see you give this amazing presentation. My organization hosts an annual leadership conference each year. We think you would fit perfectly into the lineup for 2016! How can we connect to discuss further??

    Thank you! – Justine Griffin
