The only innovation here is the moleskine-like strap and case to slip the piece into. Otherwise, it’s a blatant rip-off of Vancouver-based molo design’s honeycomb paper softwalls and furniture, which have been around since 2005. Molo’s paper softwall is even in MoMa’s permanent collection.
I have to say, kickstarter makes everybody look like really down to earth people, passionate about their product who want nothing more than to show their creativity to the world.
But when blatant copying goes on, it’s annoying. It’s an easier way to capitalize what they already know is a successful design.
There is no risk in developing the product because they know the method. And are working in a country with far cheaper labour than Canada, so effectively their are undercutting Molo.
Please don’t support plagiarism, don’t share this, don’t buy it, and don’t support it.

This is mind-blowing! It’d be a great way to keep clutter out of small spaces, too – just shelve what you don’t need right then!

Someone took a trip to Europe some two years ago and copied Tiger’s 7 euro bestseller… Well, that’s Scandinavian design allright ;-)
Seriously, it annoys me when people litterally steal a design. Someone actually did design this stool and should get the credits for that.
