shelf wall bed
Shelf wall bed by encompasso. A perfect guest bed for these tiny NYC apartments. But then again, I can see myself hitting my head on that shelf… They should make it so that you can fold up the shelf when you to go sleep. No?

imagination
Everything that is new or uncommon raises a pleasure in the imagination, because it fills the soul with an agreeable surprise, gratifies its curiosity, and gives it an idea of which it was not before possessed.

camera phone of the future
“Sony Ericsson’s head of design, Hiroshi Nakaizumi, has come to the conclusion that it would be better to protect images from a camera phone rather than show it on a tiny screen, ‘Why carry around a display when you can project it onto a wall or page?’ says Nakaizumi. The idea is that we select which photo or film we want to show using a trackball on the end of the phone, then simply point it at any surface and view the projected image.”

shadows on block island
G. and I spent a f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s two days on Block Island, which is only a two hour ferry ride away from Montauk (Long Island). Life is really, really good, when sipping a drink, overlooking the ocean, at the Spring House.
the swiss poster
Most people are surprised to learn that there are more 20th century poster masterpieces from Switzerland than any other country. There are many reasons: an international tradition which absorbed and often mimicked the best of its neighbors; a vigorous national program to promote the poster and its printers; and a series of great teachers who advanced the art of the poster. Yet most collectors have missed out on this rich tradition. What appears to be an elegant French poster or an unabashedly direct German one could very well be Swiss.

supermann spotted in serbia
Serbian authorities are investigating reports of a real-life Superman after people claimed to have seen a cloaked figure flying over their houses.
Hundreds of residents in Ljubovija described seeing a cloaked person flying above buildings “as if he had an invisible engine on his back” and changing directions while in mid-air, local daily Blic reported.
One local said: “It was like something out of Superman or Batman. No one has any rational explanation for what we all saw.”
Police in the town have refused to comment.
