Stina Persson, one of my favorite illustrator, pointed me to one of her upcoming shows in California. Gallery Nucleus is organizing a show called LA FEMME which hopes to showcase and celebrate women in art.

I share the excitement for these indoor/outdoor mats with the abitare ladies: They’re woven from 50% recycled plastic and polyester, are resistant to rain and mold, and–here comes the best part–the smaller sized mats can be washed in the machine! They’re perfect for beach houses, kitchens, porches, mud rooms, gyms.

Mark emailed me about a cool little site he just launched: WHEREWEDOWHATWEDO , a community-built visual database of the spaces in which people spend their days, nights or both doing whatever it is they do. While it may not be the freshest idea in the attic, they thought it would be a fun project to work on during down time. As well as they wanted to give this interesting and slightly voyeuristic concept a place all its own.
Tim pointed me to a site they just launched: Old Guys Rule. Totally had me chuckle…

Some of you might remember my post about Pentagram’s Black Book, a 800-page overview of our recent work. Last night, I gasped for air, when I saw one of these gems peek out of a package I received. G was quite amused to see me rejoice and bounce around with it in our living room.
What an impressive body of work! And what a beautiful way to showcase it. I am loving the tabbing system.

In the Swiss town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, dogs (and their owners) have to obey the rules indicated by green or red dog-shaped objects: here, the dog is allowed to run loose, but its poo must be cleaned up. Cute art for cleaner streets!
