We spent part of this fabulous memorial day weekend with Jenna, Mark, Mia and Claudine from Sweet fine day. Mark, a pastry chef, made a rhubarb pie which was out of this world! I am so delighted to see that he is sharing the recipe. A hint to my friends: I’ll do almost anything for a slice of warm rhubarb pie!
*Preheat the oven to 425 degrees*?! aber mein ofen geht doch nur bis 250 grad… ;-)
werde das rezept trotzdem bei gelegenheit ausprobieren.

Oops, sorry about that. It is 425 degrees farenheit, which is 220 degrees centigrade. I’m sure that would work much better.

my parents used to grow rhubarb in their garden and we’d have strawberry/rhubarb pie in the summers. mmm, good! be careful though, the leaves are poisonous.

Oh yum! That’s my favorite kind of pie… especially when you add strawberries to the rhubarb. Thanks for makin’ me hungry!

Adding strawberries to the pie would make it taste even better. The strawberries take away some of the bitterness of the rhubarb.
