General radiator materials used are aluminum. The reason could get to do the aluminum heat sink, because the rich and light weight of aluminum and thermal conductivity is also quite good. Therefore it is commonly used as the best material for cooling electronic components. But not one hundred percent pure aluminum heat sink, because the aluminum was too soft, so will add a small amount of other metals, aluminum casting and become, in order to obtain proper hardness, laptop cooling but aluminum accounted for about 9%, or around 18 . Also you can see the color of the heat sink varied, with blue, black, green, red, etc., this is only a thin layer of lacquer and yourself, if you use the blade scraped a trace, you will see the silver white luster, which is aluminum. Those sorts of shapes are mostly out of the plane with a lathe.Another material is copper, copper better thermal conductivity than aluminum, but the cost is much higher than the aluminum heat sink, taking into account cost, pure copper heat sink is generally used for high-end of the radiator, the cost is relatively
