I am a huge fan of FIELD NOTES as it is but this limited edition is making me giddy! These new notebooks look like ordinary kraft-cover FIELD NOTES, with the notable absence of their brand name. This “________ Edition” allows you to customize your FIELD NOTES with any phrase of your choosing with the included authentic dry-transfer lettering! Brilliant? YES!
UPDATE: Jim Coudal of FIELD NOTES just reached out to me: Swissmiss readers can save $5 when you order 2 or more of the Dry Transfer editions. Just use couponcode: MADEMESMILE Today Only
I think that with this move they just got a new wave of new fans. Personalization is a huge business these days, and people love it.

I haven’t had to use dry-transfer letters since they invented PCs…but I digress! :)

Oh, I had forgotten about these kind of transfers. I used them when I was a child back in the early 80s. Love them, thanks!

Aaaah … Letraset.
Blast from the past ;-)
Mar 22nd, 2011 / 3:12 pm
Yah before Letraset we use to beg type houses (type wha?) for type books where we would copy multiple pages of a font family, cut the letters out with an Xacto, and then use a straight edge to hand glue and kern them…”and we liked it!” (another over the head reference).

thank you! just bought them. (besides, with the conversion rate to euro, they’re just so cheap!)

OMG! I need to get these. And – OF COURSE – the day there’s a special deal for swissmiss readers, a blog I read DAILY – is the day my laptop is with IT getting a virus scrubbed from it. Day late, dollar short – but Im still ordering these ASAP.

It was only valid on 3/22. You gotta be quick on the swissmiss consumption.

Oh, I remember that rub down lettering so well. It was a complete pain in the rear. It’s a great idea though. Takes me back…too many years.

Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download
it from somewhere? A design like yours with
a few simple adjustements would really make my blog stand out.
Please let me know where you got your theme.
Appreciate it
