The point is, we have space! Contrary to panic and doom sayers, we could easily accomodate more if we wanted to, needed to and are clever about it!

From this infographic, I can see how it looks like we have enough space for many billions more people. But I can tell you that’s not the case. Check back at my site in the next few weeks for a new infographic that more fully addresses the issue.

I’d imagine Mumbai was left out since the density found in its slums is hardly what one would want to see happen to the population of the world. Though, Mumbai isn’t all slums.

Actually, I left out Mumbai and other cities with slums in part because it’s difficult to get accurate estimates of population density for them.
