My lovely studio-mate Amrit pointed me to Kippt, a new way to collect and discover bookmarks. You can use it just by yourself or collaborate on lists with other users. Bonus: Their search functionality searches within articles as well as titles and user added descriptions, making it an powerful research tool.
How is it different from GimmeBar?

It’s different since it’s not visual bookmarking. Gimmebar saves a lot of kind of things ranging from images, text, videos and text. Also, it acts as a backup service to your existing networks.
Whereas, Kippt saves the URL in your inbox/folders. It takes notes regarding the link and lets you make up collections of links to share them with anyone. There are of course more ways to save than using the extension.
