Kyle here (the guy in the video). We’re aware of our lack of diversity, and it’s something we’re working on. We’ve never done this before, so our process was basically that we made a list of a bunch of cool people and started reaching out to them. The first ten that said yes were the ones who we put in the video. We did reach out to other women, but we weren’t able to get any of them to agree by the time we filled up our list.
Our hope is that these episodes would be the first of many, and that there would be entrepreneurs, artists, and creators of all types!
While we should’ve done a better job diversifying the list in the first place, just know that our intent is to keep adding to the list over time. Also, we’re always open to suggestion. We realize that there are awesome people out there who we’ve never heard of, so we’re actively soliciting suggestions from our backers on Kickstarter and elsewhere. If you have specific people in mind, I’d love to hear about them! My email is linked to my name here.
Howdy! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a collection of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche.
Your blog provided us useful information to
work on. You have done a outstanding job!

That is awesome! And so glad that you’re a part of it but…you are the ONLY woman..?? Sigh.
