“Your home is an extension of your energy field.
This is why practices
like cleaning your home,
rearranging furniture,
organizing your closet
and getting rid of objects that are
cluttering your space can have
a profound impact on your own mind,
body and spirit.”

Just something I heard once and fits with my experience.
Women (60/70%) expand to fill their environment so that if the house is dirty they feel dirty
Men (60/70%) are compartmentalised so they don’t have the same issues with the space they inhabit.

Ross: That makes sense, in a very generalized way of course. I might add that, instead of feeling dirty, a messy house makes some people’s mental state feel cluttered & disorganized, especially because cleaning it is now on their to-do list.
Your comment reminded me of a female friend who complained that her husband wasn’t putting away his box that was in the middle of the hallway. The box was so big that you had to stop to step over it. She is the main cleaner of the house so she was fed up and declared that she was going to leave that darn box there until her husband put it away. A month later, she asked frustratingly, “Aren’t you going to put away the box?!” He replied cluelessly, “What box?”
