Explorer Globe
I got my godson Thilo (in Switzerland) an Explorer Globe for christmas and I got to see it myself for the first time last week. (The power of the internet(s)!) All I can think now is that I want one myself. I could have spent hours checking out different countries, learn about population, capitols, bodies of water, time zones etc. I especially liked the quiz-mode where you have a certain amount of time to find as many countries as possible.
Explorer Globe What a smart toy. EllaBella, want one?

The world would be a better place if more people would wear a bunny scarf.
Green Lullaby Cradle
This cardboard cradle meets all the usual standards. It’s flame retardant and meets the EU’s safety and performance for cribs and cradles. However, unlike traditional cribs, you won’t need any tools to assemble it and you can either store flat when done or recycle the cardboard. Keep this crib in mind for traveling as well. For infants up to three months old.

PLAY+SOFT
PLAY+SOFT has been a long-term project: a collaboration between Reggio Children in Italy and a team of international designers (e.g. Andrea Branzi, James Irvine, Stefano Maffei, Sophie Larger, Denis Santachiara, Harry Koskinen, etc.) I is unprecedented in its coherency and breadth, and certainly in its credible research background (with experts in the field of child development and pedagogical research). It is founded on principles of introducing aesthetics and new sensory qualities into children’s environments: the principle that ‘children deserve beauty’.
nido
A protected place. A small space for playing, talking or resting, alone or in a group. The ‘cocoon’ responds to two opposing and co-existing needs of children: the desire for protectiona dn the desire for movement.
navicella
A truncated cone shelter with an hole for access and two ‘eyes’ to look out without being seen (or to peek inside to see who’s there). The opening at the top allows light to enter and enables adult intervention if needed.
uova
A soft mat in the form of a fried egg. The yellow is a cushion and a focal point, creating a centre of gravity to define a space.
(150 x 224 x 8 cm)
iperbolle
Modular elements of soft transparent bubbles. These can be joined together to form a carpet – a soft, but resistant surface – for motor play, games, and socialisation.
(66 x 75 x 4 cm)

L is for Label
When we were toddlers, my mother labeled everything in our house—doors, windows, closets. As we got our clothes, we saw the word “closet.” As we tinkered on the piano, we saw the word “piano.” We absorbed what was part of our daily environment. She’s a teacher, and her philosophy is that if you surround young children with the tools they need to learn, over time, they will simply choose to explore that which surrounds them. And through that exploration, they can acquire vast knowledge.

lost and found bracelet
This is a smart invention for parents: Lost and Found Bracelets. Write important information on the bracelet (your phone number, medical conditions, etc) before you go to an event or place where you think you might get separated from your child. blik wee gallery
I am a big fan of Blik. And as a new mommy I am happy to see that they are extending their Wee Gallery. Classic designs, Elephant and Giraffe, are bigger and better than ever, with more graphics per package. And debuting alongside these updated graphics are two brand new designs, Undersea and Farm. All Wee Gallery/blik products are made with blik re-stik, which means you can remove them AND move them. Cool! Giraffe versus Farm… hmmmm
wooden baby phone
I am a sucker for wooden baby toys, so this one put a smile on my face: Wooden phone from Vilac.
