mobiles | adrift & haba
I am such a sucker for mobiles. My dream is to own a real Calder one day. But for now, something like this (adrift mobiles) will have to do. Oh so pretty! (via happy mundane)
As for Peanutella (my daughter), she loves this Haba mobile. You can take off two of the birds and squeeze their belly to make a squeaky sound… Fun!

The daddle: A soft, stuffed “saddle” for Dad, or Mom to strap on, to give kids (age 2-6) a horsy ride. Man, I would have loved this as a kid! What a fun idea! But, oh boy, Cashel, the company that sells this, needs to work on the product imagery…

HaPe cagola
This balancing game challenges two to six players to load 36 pieces of cargo onto the deck of a ship. But, uh-oh, the sea is rough, the bamboo cargo items are different shapes and weights, and any player whose cargo falls off is out of the game. The last player left is the winner. The game can be made harder or easier by cords that move the deck from horizontal to different angles, which changes the strategy of where to place pieces of various shapes.
