Art History Poster. Simply brilliant. And yes, Calder owns Mobiles.

This Home Hack over at the kitchn had me look: How To Clean Tough Burnt Stains Off Stainless Cookware.
John Pawson’s Private Residence
I would have no problem moving into Jon Pawson’s house immediately. I love his minimalist approach to decorating and interiors. And I share his love for white. In fact he says: “There are 50 different color shades of white, And you could probably only see them in an empty room.” For John Pawson, architecture is all about reduction. I agree.

Devon Smith
Love this illustration by Devon Smith, a New Zealand based Illustrator. Would look fabulous in Ella’s room.

Day-Ruining Invoice Notepads
Studiomate Jessica Hische just came out with these Day-Ruining Invoice Notepads. The covers are letterpressed and the interiors are 2 color offset, all bound with glue for tearoutability and black binding tape for fanciness / vintagefeelperfection. It’s only $25 and will certainly make any designer snortlaugh if you give it to them. Visit her store to purchase!
♥ / HoudahGeo
A big thank you to Houdah Software for sponsoring this week’s swissmiss rss feed.
HoudahGeo is a one-stop photo geocoding solution for Mac OS X. GPS optional.
HoudahGeo interfaces with your preferred photo library (iPhoto, Aperture & Lightroom). It geocodes photos automatically using a track logger. Or you can geocode manually using a map or through Google Earth. Check out the Screencasts.
HoudahGeo works with JPEG, most RAW formats as well as XMP sidecars and writes EXIF, XMP and IPTC losslessly. It lets you publish to Google Earth and upload to Flickr and Locr.
Swissmiss readers may redeem coupon code SWISSMISS by February 8 for a 30% discount. The discount works for both HoudahGeo and HoudahSpot. HoudahSpot is Houdah Software’s popular file search utility for Mac OS X.

Can you fall in love with a desk? YES, YOU CAN! The Hansen Family Desk makes me gasp!
Distractivity
“Distractivity is what you’re doing when you get distracted from what you should be doing. It’s generally what you want to do, often what you need to do, and arguably, what you’ll do best.”

Kulula Airplane Rebranding
South Africa’s Kulula airlines recently received the rebranding treatment from creative agency Atmosphere when they applied this 101 guide to the various parts of the airplane. Made me smile. Found over at PSFK.
Immaculate Perception
I am all for Surrealism, so it’s no surprise this Immaculate Perception collage by Matthew Rose gets my thumbs up.
Beautifully printed by Mariela Cadiz in Paris, this piece is a lullaby in the surrealist cannon: A young girl in a bob cut dreams in a dream of a lemon tree. She is the revolution, says the artist.
Social Media Mullet
Steve Badowski’s Social Media Mullet made me laugh. Business up front, party in the back.

Design Quotes Display
Alex Giron put together a design quotes display system that can be used as a screensaver. Head over to neography.com/designquotes and take a look for yourself. Mac users can use IdleWeb, a nice little app that allows you to set up any webpage as your screensaver. Just make sure you set it up in “kiosk” mode within the screensaver options.
