Neil Agarwal

hanging shirts

The other day I come into work and there are these beautiful paintings hanging in our hallway! I was stunned and simply wanted to take a few of them home. I happened to run into the artist, Neil Agarwal, today, who unfortunately was taking them down again. It was just a temporary thing. Too bad.

I love his series of hanging shirts and the big giant grapes. Lovely.

CreativeMornings with Allegra Burnette, MoMA

creativemorning_MoMA_full

After our last successful CreativeMornings in Zurich with Daniel Freitag, I am happy to announce next week’s event which will be generously hosted at … drumrolls… MoMA! On august 14th, 2009, Allegra Burnette, Creative Director of Digital Media at MoMA will talk on the subject of how she jumped the fence and went from consultant to becoming the client!

I am sorry but we’ve reached full capacity! Interested in attending? Make sure to r.s.v.p via email. Please tell us your name and what industry you’re in. (We will later on send you a confirmation email with all the necessary details for the event.) Space is *extremely* limited this time, so please don’t be sad if you didn’t make it on the list. CreativeMornings are free. They start at 8.30am and end at 10am.

NEW: Follow CreativeMornings on twitter!

A big thank you to fabulous GenevaSound for generously sponsoring Breakfast :

Growing

Soon_to_be_big_sister_small

G and I had a big ‘family moment’ over the wekeend: We told our little Ella Joy that she’ll be a big sister. Her response: “Is it coming tomorrow?”

We are so excited about the growing family! Brace yourself for more baby related posts in the coming months.

Yay!

Update: We just learned that that little bun in the oven is indeed a boy. Woohooo, a little swiss-mister!

It’s all Too Much

Its-all-too-much-sm

Here’s a book that caught my attention over at KK.org:
It’s All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff

… this is about calculating the very real cost that clutter incurs every day, then deciding what you can tolerate _not_ doing about it. The mindless junk of your past crowds out opportunities and sets pointless limitations. Move out the junk, and you create room for the rest of your life. Ultimately, it’s not just a question of tidying your house; it’s a question of liberating your heart. – Merlin Mann

Yes, I am in a purging-declutter mode more than ever!
