Made me laugh:
Your old phone can do good
Hope Phones takes recycled phones and puts them to work on the front lines of global health. Donate yours to a medical clinic in a developing country today. If you’re in NYC, come and drop by your old phone at my studio as I ordered the shipping material for up to 50 phones. Or, get your own collection materials to start a collection campaign!
Playful Learning Experiences
Jolayne from Urbanpreschool pointed me to this amazing resource for parents called Playful Learning. It’s filled with educational activites for parents and their children. What a resource. Hat tip to Mariah Bruehl, the force behind Playful Learning.
Floating Camping
I don’t know about you but this Floating Camping Island looks very relaxing to me.
Brompton Child Seat
The Brompton is definitely one of the most amazing (and expensive) folding bikes out there. This Brompton Child Seat Hack made me look!
Stripped Bare
Made me smile: A piece entitled Zé Carioca No. 4 by Rivane Neuenschwander, currently on display at the new york Museum of Modern Art.
Subdivisions
New York artist Ross Racine creates aerial views of fictional suburbs, examining the relation between design and actual lived experience. No photographs or scanned images are used in the pieces above. Each was drawn freehand directly on the computer and then printed on an inkjet printer. Impressive.

Eyebrow Hat
Tom Judd produced this hat as half of his final body of work for his MA in Animation. The concept came about whilst thinking about botox users and their wonderfully emotionless faces. The eyebrow hat allows its wearer to express themselves by altering the pitch and height of each synthetic brow using the lightweight controller. The result is a dignified look that friends and family will admire.

Ink Posters
A one-colour screen print with the famous Charlie Mingus Quote: “Anyone can make the simple complicated, creativity is making the complicated simple.” This needs to be put up in our studio. Must!

Stretch Shelf
Pete Oyler, a recent graduate of the rhode island school of design is the mastermind behind this Stretch Shelf. They are made of cast rubber and machined aluminum and are, essentially, giant rubberbands that function as wall shelves. Wonderful!
